PAY SCALE

  • 89¢/mile- practical miles
  • All dispatched miles, loaded or empty, are paid    
  • $25 per extra stop
  • $35 per refer load for handling (SZL pays refer fuel)
  • Short-haul additional pay for runs under 500 miles

BONUS SCALE

  • Mileage bonuses - additional 1¢ per mile for each of these milestones
  • in 1 week - 2700, 3000, 3300
  • in 4 weeks  - 11600, 12400, 13200
  • in 6 months - 75000, 80000, 85000
  • Trailer inspections             +1¢/mile
  • On-time bonus                   +1¢/mile
  • Safety Bonus                     +2¢/mile

  • Bonuses are cumulative, so an additional
   13¢/mile is available to you.

The best drivers earn $1.02 per mile.

SZL PAYS

  • All tolls (SZL provides EZ pass transponder)
  • All scales
  • Base plate and all permits
  • Prepass and EZ pass
  • Qualcom, installation and use
  • Truck washes - tractor and trailer
  • Company cellphone
YOU PAY

  • Tractor operation (fuel, maintenance, etc.)
  • Tractor Insurances: physical damage, bobtail, PLPD
  • 2290 tax, IFTA, fuel, use taxes
  • Escrow ($1500, deducted at $100 per week).
  • Pays interest to you
  • SZL does NOT withhold a maintenance or any other fund
GUARANTEED MILES
Accept each job and meet all schedules for the week.  We guarantee you
3000  miles / week
or we pay you 50¢ per extra mile
Example:  If we only provide 2500 miles, we pay you $250 for the
500 miles you did NOT drive)
FUEL SURCHARGE

  • Stableized fuel price $1.64/gallon
  • No cap - your actual price is $1.64 or lower REGARDLESS of how high the price
    of fuel goes
  • Paid to you as a line item on every job settlement - not hidden or withheld.
